Paweł Kwiek
Doing the Impossible Light
The book "Paweł Kwiek: Making Impossible Light" is devoted primarily to the artist's works from the 1980s, 1990s and the early 21st century. This is the first publication that presents works from the later period of his work - so far, the subject of researcher reflection were photographs, films, and videos from the time of Kwiek's activity as part of the Workshop of Film Form group.
Paweł Kwiek (1951–2022) was a multimedia artist, a precursor of video art in Poland, the author of radical experimental films, and an original performer. He graduated from the Film School in Łódź. His works can be found in the collections of the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Museum of Art in Łódź, Erste Kontakt in Vienna, among others.
