Herbert Brandl and Galerie Elisabeth & Klaus Thoman have a tradition in producing books in panorama landscape format. It is a reaction on the artist’s tendency to choose this special format for his paintings and a connection to the special architecture of the gallery’s exhibition space in Innsbruck.
Since their first collaboration Panorama at Kunstraum Innsbruck in 2002, two same sized catalogues accompanying the artists shows Katana and Sommerschnee at Galerie Elisabeth & Klaus Thoman Innsbruck have been published in 2013 and 2016.
For his exhibition at Galerie Elisabeth & Klaus Thoman Innsbruck in 2021 Herbert Brandl overpainted the cover of 30 catalogues, creating unique bookobjects/paintings.
