Julia Haugeneder
Abschied. Oder: eine Person und ein Esel wissen mehr als eine Person allein und sie stehen keiner stummen und blinden Welt gegenüber und sie leben in Reihenhäusern
The three texts – the first and second written by Julia Haugeneder, the third by Simon Nagy – deal with the dialectical relationship between social liberation and exploitation with regard to three central questions: Care work, the status of synthetics and a concept of nature shaped by capitalism. In cooperation with the Austrian filmmaker Matteo Sanders, three films based on these texts have been produced. The trilogy was presented as part of the exhibition go to work on an egg at the Studio of Neue Galerie Graz (09.03.–02.06.2024), curated by Roman Grabner and developed in collaboration with artist Magdalena Kreinecker and Lucas Schmid from werkbuero.
