Paul Thuile
Zeichnungen / Disegni
His works are created in houses and rooms that are to be converted or demolished. Paul Thuile draws old doors and windows, radiators and sanitary installations. He sketches the views directly onto the plaster — slightly distorted by the small distance to the surface and the limited reach of the hand. The drawings are designed to be ephemeral; Thuile entrusts their transmission to the lens of the camera. In the present volume, the draughtsman Paul Thuile is present through photographs that depict his no longer existing sketches and their surroundings. The printed works are a selection from the series of pencil drawings named after streets, which were created between 1999 and 2002.
