The Egyptian boy is a facsimile of a notebook that Tel Aviv–born artist Tal R (born 1967) has been working on from 2010 until 2013 and that is the source for his group of ceramic sculptures with the same title. The notes explore the bodily fragmentation and dismemberment in the manner of the god Osiris.
