Walter Pichler
Pichler. Prototypen 1966–69
The volume accompanies and contextualises the 1998 exhibition of the same name, for which the Generali Foundation had Walter Pichler’s prototypes restored. The group of prototypes from the late 1960s were shown, among others, at Documenta 4 in Kassel. The prototypes represent an erratic block in Pichler’s oeuvre. More architectural environments than objects that lie on the borderline between architecture, design and sculpture, that were created against the background of the social changes and political events of the 1960s.
